That your sense of smell brings back memories faster than any of your other senses? I know this because of my job peddling candles.
I experienced it first hand today when using the Tempura paints. Took me right back to kindergarten. We all lined up and buttoned on shirts and painted at our tables using huge sheets of butcher block paper.
Tempura paints. I do love them! They have vibrant color and are so easy to clean up. Learning Palace, where I get them, is near me and will be moving even closer to me by the end of the month. $3.99 for a quart bottle and you too can have flashbacks to kindergarten.

Isn't that incredible? Sometimes smells remind me of good times, but once in awhile a mix of cafeteria food and industrial floor cleaner brings me back to a horrible day in first grade.
There was a customer at work last week that had a familiar smell from my younger days. It was her shampoo or cologne or something. I still can't place the smell or where I know it from and it's driving me crazy. I should have asked but I felt kind of silly.
The paints would remind me of Kindergarten too!
I have an unusual smell memory. Whenever I go by a one hour photo shop, I flashback to my countless trips to the Pediatric Orthopedics clinic for XRays through my childhood. Every 6-12 months for 18 years. It's just a strange, familiar, comfortable feeling. Xrays were not unpleasant at all and there were always Highlights magazines in the waiting room. After getting the films, we would go to see my buddies - the doctors and assistance at the clinic.
