I thought this odd....

Okay, so my monitor goes out on my computer today. I apologize now, before all, I honestly thought my six year old had messed with a setting and done it in (it's happened before....). I apologized to him as well.

I am somewhat freaking out. Hands down, this is the busiest week of my entire year for my candle business. Thousands of dollars worth of sales need to be submitted to my company as I type this. I need to email constantly with my customer base. The monitor going out is not good.

I call Gateway. Yahoo! Our incredibly expensive warranty is going to expire at the end of this month. That is good because after trouble shooting, the tech guy concludes "your monitor is shot." Yup! It is. They are sending a new one right now--no charge.

Here is what is so odd. He spews off a bunch of order numbers, tracking numbers, etc. I ask him what I need those for.

"So you can go online and track your order."

Uh huh. Because the braille function still works on my only monitor. I think that is the most shortsighted advice I receive from technical support--and I get it all the time.



PS I am borrowing a friend's right now, the only reason why this entire sales week doesn't go down the toilet.

oh my gosh! that is 1.cool you still have a warrenty 2. I love the brail thing I do hope you told that to him.... I would have. it is terribly funny.
glad the Lord provided another so you don't loose sales. I know this is the most busy time . ;)
