A few days ago we went to a pumpkin patch right smack in the middle of the city. We love it. It gives you the whole experience without having to drive a long way. One thing though, we had a thunder and lightening storm right as we arrived. Thunder and lightening are rare in Oregon. We waited it out, so the kids ran through the fields and got their feet and lower extremities soaked.
The big rule, if you pick out a pumpkin, you need to be able to haul it to the cash register to pay for it. That was a tall order for a few of the kids.
JM also had a class field trip yesterday to the zoo. So I have a few shots of that. Enjoy!

Here we are waiting for the rain to subside. Can you see it pounding off the cars?

And then there was the zoo...
No, the zoo did not have caged slugs. But Oregon has slugs, no doubt. This one was in our path and about 3-4 inches long. Yucky!

Is that the same produce farm that we went to one day when JM was just a baby? I remember it seemed like a cool place, and it was just on the edge of town.
Oh...I do miss the rain!
Gosh, your boys are very handsome! I really like the picture of BH with his little pumpkin...too cute!
Happy Fall!
I remember that! That weird guy kept trying to approach us while I was trying to install the car seat. It's not, actually. We're going to that spot you and I went to years ago on Friday. It's a teacher in-service day, so we're going to hit that spot when the crowds are low. Then we have the apple orchard on Sunday. We are taking full advantage of the season! I love that picture too. You don't seem to miss the slugs (=
Are those albino pumpkins in one picture? Never seen white ones before. Looks like fun times.
They are! Hey, we're going to another favorite on Friday, and I think you said you might be in town. Do you want me to pick up some white ones for you?? Anyone else out there near us, let me know, I can pick some things up. I know the farm we are going to typically has some great mums as well. I love those on my porch in the fall to add to all the color. Anyone else in my area want to join us to the apple orchards this Sunday, let me know. I feel like a little kid, I am getting so excited!
