Incongruency

You can see what the front of the box is. This is kid's Mucinex. JM has had a very sore ear and I took him the the doctor yesterday. Since all the children's cold remedies are coming off the shelves these days, the doctor said Mucinex is actually okay and useful. It will help drain the fluid that is behind his ear right now. So I send the hubbie to the store to get some.

Here is what the back of the box reads, the bold letters appear as they do on the box:

Warnings: Ask a doctor if you have persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema.

If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.

Yes, my child is a pregnant smoker with lung disease!

And we wonder why the rest of the world thinks Americans are dolts?

I thought it was good to know too. If you can read the box closely, it is a "mini melt" form. Kind of like powder, like pixie stix candy. So I pour it on his tongue, and have him wash it down with a drink. He HATES liquid medicine, so any sort of fun dosing method he likes.

Maybe I should take him back to the doctor for a pregnancy test. The box has me worried /=

I am excited! I get to chat with you tomorrow!
