Remember when you were a kid and you had something huge to look forward to? Like a birthday or Christmas? Then you had those few days afterwards that were kind of a let down and you were still a little hyped up, but had nowhere to channel it. Remember?
I can tell this is happening to JM. His big birthday party is over, he has spent his gift card to Game Crazy, the cake is almost gone, and the presents are put away.
Here is our conversation this morning getting into the car:
JM: Momma! I am so excited about next week!
Me: Really? What is happening next week?
JM: I don't know.
