Day to Day stuff

A quilt I am working on for our church's fall bazaar.
A blueberry cobbler I made. Ain't it pretty?

Day to day life around here is fairly predictable. I'll leave the day to day drama for Paris Hilton and Hollywood. The predictable is comforting to me. I think it's comforting for my family as well.

Excitement? Last week we went u-picking blueberries. (My British friend pronounces them "blue breeze") Most of them we freeze and use those in pancakes on our Saturday morning breakfast. I used a few of them and made a cobbler.

I am sitting at my kitchen table writing this as my six year old whizzes by the house on his new bike. I look away on occasion as he attempts jumps and wheelies. My two year old is taking a nap. I just wrapped some birthday presents for my husband's niece. We went to Target this morning because my 4 year old purse decided to fall apart. Got a new one. Also scored the DVD "Radio" on DVD for $5.50. Great movie for boys!

We watched "The Barnyard" last night. The night before "The Borrowers". Like that one. Netflix is our friend. Why aren't we playing outside in the middle of July? We live in the Pacific Northwest, and it's rainy right now. It will be sunny next week. We also don't have the heat wave the rest of the nation has right now.

Day to day stuff. It's not exciting. But it's comforting.
