I got an email tonight from a very kind acquaintance letting me know about the death of a friend.
Her name was Jessica, and she was 27 years old and she died tragically last weekend in a river inner tubing accident. She had a great career ahead of her, some great dreams and a great husband. Her obituary is listed here.
Click here for the details. I also know the two women, Jaime and Tera, she was swimming with. I am sure they are traumatized by the events of that day, and my heart goes out to them.
Please take a few minutes and pray for them. The memorial service is tomorrow (9/8/07) morning. I just found out about it, and can't make it. I do pray it is a tribute to her life, and a celebration of what a cool woman she was. I also pray she knew the Lord and is enjoying the presence of Him right now.

That is so tragic, AM. I'm so sorry to hear about this. I read the report and understand how devastating this surely is to everyone who knew her.
