Fried again

Spent all day at a local amusement park. Here are the highlights:

A great friend of ours who also belongs to a colorful family.
Why ride in a stroller when you can play in it?
I have the same feeling I had when I came home from Houston. I am fried. It was one of the hottest days of our summer today. We spent the entire day getting our money's worth out of the all day pass wristband. I am sunburned, sore, content, and in need of sleep.

Things I did today? I rode two roller coasters, and a new thingy called the "Disco". It swings and spins (don't they all?) and I didn't get sick. I have real problems with motion sickness and it doesn't take much. I had just gone on a roller coaster while my kids were off with my husband and I got brave and decided to do the "Disco". I did fine, but certainly felt the stomach twinge by the end and that was the end of my swings and spins for the day.

I also roller skated with JM. He is such a trooper! He is six and just barely learning how. It's a lot of falling, frustration, getting up, going slow, etc. He gets so frustrated when he tries things, but skating, he keeps at it, and keeps going. By the end of the day, he's skating along.

I get on skates, and I feel like I am in high school again, and just want to speed off. I used to skate all the time in junior high and high school. It doesn't help that at the rink today it was all 80's music either. Anyway, JM plugged along. My only rule with him was he was not allowed to hang onto me, so that he could pull me down everytime he fell. I have already taken three Advil Liqui Gels (my pain reliever of choice) tonight just for the skating. I didn't want to include falling in that either.

I am off to my new pillow top mattress. I really recommend them. Anything is better than the mattress we just retired that felt like a burrito about to fold up.

I have been to this local amusement park. I actually skated there regularly when I was in grade school. I took my niece and nephew there to roller skate when they came to visit me.

I can see you got the hint I don't always want the whole world to know my exact location. Thanks! Yes, that is an old amusement park and the skating rink is even older. We had such a fun day. I honestly think it is the last rink in this area. If you have time the next time you're here, let's go!

Yes, I try to take note of the sort of privacy level my friends are maintaining and follow suit.

My best friend from high school went by lemming1 for a long time and I had a hard time being consistent about avoiding her name all that time. Now she's come out with her name so it's much easier... :o)
